AIDA level – 1
The 1st level is an introductory course to free diving and is aimed to divers with little on no free diving experience.
It is a course, designed to offer friendly, simple and quick learning to enable the new free diver to move in the underwater environment with safety.
The course offers a basic knowledge of freediving and introductory skills such as relaxation of body and mind, finning techniques, duck dives and equalisation.
Skills Certification
At the end of the 1st level, the freediver will be able to dive with an experienced dive buddy, applying safe free diving techniques, and will be AIDA 1 certified for the basic freediving knowhow.
Participation Qualifications
- Good health certificate,
- Be 18 years of age or older (16 or 17 years old with parent or guardian consent),
- Swimming skills, be able to swim at least 100m non-stop without fins and snorkel.
Duration
The minimum course duration is 2 days.
The minimum sessions in the sea is 1.
